Creating your Krak account and Kraktag

 Once you have downloaded the Krak app, you will be prompted to create an account, or sign in.

Tap Create an account to begin creating your account. First, you'll need to provide your email, and create a secure password. Then, you'll need to enter your country/state of residence.

After you've entered this information, a 6-digit code will be sent to your email. Copy/paste this code into the Krak App once prompted.

Next, you'll need to verify your account. The verification page will automatically open, where you may enter your phone number, and birth date.

A confirmation code will be texted to the phone number you've entered, copy/paste this code into the Krak App when prompted.

Now you'll be able to choose your Kraktag! Simply enter your desired Kraktag, and if it's available, tap Claim your tag.

Your Kraktag is the unique identifier you’ll use for sending and receiving funds through Krak. Think of it like a username that others can easily recognize. You’ll have the option to update your Kraktag (up to two times) if you change your mind.

After you've claimed your Kraktag, you'll need to answer a few required questions. These include your occupation, purpose of your Krak account, source of funds, and deposit/withdrawal/trade expectations.

Once you've submitted your answers, your transfer limits will be displayed. If you'd like to increase your limits, you can further verify your account by uploading your ID.

After tapping continue, or uploading your ID, you'll now be able to choose your display name and profile picture. Your display name will be publicly shown on your Krak profile.

Once your display name has been chosen, finish up your account setup by letting us know how you plan to use Krak, and then we recommend turning on notifications so that you don't miss payments or requests from friends!

Lastly, you may now add money to your Krak account! Simply tap Add money and select whether you'd like to deposit cash or crypto into your Krak account. Then, follow the deposit instructions provided.

Log in with your existing Kraken username and password. If you already have the Kraken/Kraken Pro app downloaded on your mobile device, your credentials will automatically populate to Krak.

On sign in you’ll be prompted to create your Kraktag. Type in the Kraktag you’d like to use, or let us make one for you. Once you’re satisfied with your Kraktag, tap the Continue button.

Note: You’ll have the option to update your Kraktag (up to two times) if you change your mind.

Share or close: If you want, tap Share to let your followers and friends know you’re on Krak! Otherwise, you may close the window to return to the main Krak homescreen.
