Your rewards tier is based on your total balance across Krak, Kraken, and Kraken Pro. Here's how it works
There are five tiers based on your account balance, where the more balance you hold equates to a higher tier:
Tier | Minimum Balance | Cashback | Salary Match |
|---|---|---|---|
Starter | £0 / €0 | 0% | 0% |
Light | £200 / €200 | 0.5% | 0.25% |
Pro | £1,000 / €1,000 | 1% | 0.5% |
Elite | £10,000 / €10,000 | 1.5% | 0.75% |
Max | £50,000 / €50,000 | 2% | 1% |
The way your balance is calculated depends on how long you've been a customer.
Your tier is based on your live balance and updates in real time. If your balance changes, your tier changes immediately.
Your tier is calculated using a 30-day trailing average. Your daily balances from your last 30 days are added together and divided by 30 to determine your tier. This calculation is performed once daily. This prevents your tier from jumping up or down with short-term balance changes.
Yes, your total balance is calculated across Krak, Kraken, and Kraken Pro combined.
After your first 30 days, your tier reflects your 30-day average balance, not your live balance. If you recently made a large deposit, you may not be in the matching tier yet, your average needs time to catch up. If you've withdrawn funds recently, your tier may still reflect a higher average from earlier in the month.
To reach a higher tier, you'll need to increase your average balance over 30 days. Keep in mind that if there's a gap between your current balance and the next tier threshold, you may need to deposit more than the displayed difference to move your average up quickly enough.
New customers receive Max tier benefits for 30 days as a welcome gift, regardless of their actual balance. This starts from the latest date out of your account creation or verification date.
If you'd like to maintain Max tier benefits once the welcome period ends, you will need to deposit the required amount of funds to reach Max tier.
You can view your current tier, rewards earnings, and progress toward the next tier in the Rewards section of the Krak app.
