What is the Krak Card?

The Krak Card is a Visa debit card that lets you spend cash and crypto from your Krak Everyday account balance, anywhere Visa is accepted — online, in-store, and at ATMs. It is available in virtual and physical formats through the Krak app and is for personal use by verified clients in the United States.

The Krak Card (US) is issued by Lead Bank, a federally regulated US bank, and managed by Stripe; Payward Interactive, Inc. operates the program. Where your Krak Everyday balance is held in crypto, it is converted to US dollars at the moment you pay to settle the transaction.

Not a bank account; not FDIC-insured

The Krak Everyday balance is not a deposit account, and funds are not insured by the FDIC. The card lets you spend your own balance — it does not work like a bank account and carries no deposit insurance.

Where is the US Krak Card available, and who can get one?

The card is personal-use only. At launch it is available to US residents only and is not available in New York, Maine, Massachusetts, or Indiana.

Eligibility

US residents with a verified personal Krak account. US verification additionally requires SSN collection; your already-collected KYC is passed to Stripe and Lead Bank, who each run independent CIP/KYC and sanctions screening.

Open the Krak app and start the card sign-up flow. Make sure you have the latest version of the app from the App Store or Google Play.

    Select a card color — Krak Orange or Krak Black.

    Read and accept the relevant card terms of service.

    That's it — your virtual card is ready to use.

Please note: your virtual card is not disposable and is intended for long-term use. There is a limit of three virtual cards per rolling 30-day period.

Prefer a tangible card for in-person purchases or ATM withdrawals? Here's how to get your physical Krak Card. You can only activate a physical card once you receive it.

    Complete the virtual card setup — this gives you your virtual card.

    When you're ready for a physical card, go to Card Home and tap Get the physical card.

  3. 3

    Choose how your name should appear, then tap Continue, then OK.

  4. 4

    Confirm your shipping address (residential or an alternative address). A phone number is not required.

    That's it — your card is on its way. Activate it once it arrives (see How to Activate Your Card).

    If it hasn't arrived by then, tap Get Help in the app to contact us.

    Once your virtual card is ready, tap Add to Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet.

    Choose whether to add the card to your phone or watch.

    Follow the on-screen instructions, including accepting the device provider's terms. Your virtual card is then added to your wallet.

Krak debit card is issued by Lead Bank pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. Krak is a financial technology company, not a bank. Account balances are not FDIC- or SIPC-insured.
